'Experience the best of the Territory'
27th - 29th July 2017

President's Message for 2017

Welcome to the 66th Royal Darwin Show the largest community event held in the NT. This iconic family event enables families, adults and children to showcase their best exhibits and win trophies and prizes for their efforts. Schools, club and community groups are not forgotten and participate keenly each year.

Our most prestigious award – The Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Trophy is awarded to an outstanding exhibitor whose exhibits are representative of the NT.

The Schedule of Prizes grows each year to reflect new interests and ideas with hundreds of categories on offer. There is something to suit all ages and interests and I encourage you all to enter and enjoy the pleasure thousands of people get by viewing the wonderful talent which exists in our community. You won’t see better anywhere.

We also have a great lineup of entertainment and main arena events. Horse events, Sand sculpting, racing pigs, Mouse Circus, beaut utes, stilt walkers, chainsaw sculpting to name a few. If you need to rest your feet do so at the Coca Cola Bandstand which features a variety of professional and local performers and entertainers for your enjoyment.

Why not become a member of this great organisation and enjoy privileges of reduced exhibit entry fees, unrestricted entry to the show on all days for a Member and Guest, Members’ carparking and best of all no lining up to enter.

Once again I must thank the Show Councillors, Volunteers and Staff who make this event come together each year – preparing the arena, grounds and pavilions and then maintaining it all right through show and then of course the big cleanup when sadly the show is over for another year. So come along with your friends, make new ones and enjoy the food, the atmosphere, the very best produce, displays and livestock – we look forward to seeing you.
